What is PDF interleaving used for?
It is useful when a duplex document was scanned as two files, such as front sides in one PDF and back sides in another PDF.
Why reverse the second PDF?
Many scanners produce the back-side stack in reverse order. Reversing the second PDF pairs page 1 with the last back-side page, then continues inward.
